As Seattle's first social realtor, every sale with Chapman Homes helps a person in need at no additional cost to you. See how it works HERE.
Miriam, a former foster youth, found herself homeless while grappling with substance
abuse. The profound trauma she endured made it challenging for her to trust others,
often interpreting appropriate boundaries as rejection or punishment.
Initially, she cut off communication with her team at Olive Crest. Yet, her team was determined to see her succeed and her case manager expressed, “We are the only people who have shown up for her in the good and the bad.” Eventually, Miriam agreed to meet with her case manager. During the meeting, she disclosed that she had successfully quit drugs but was struggling with withdrawals, all while awaiting an important court date. Miriam was at the lowest point in her life and bravely admitted she needed help. With open arms, Olive Crest provided immediate support, offering a food basket and grocery gift card, reinforcing their unwavering commitment to youth facing substantial challenges.
Miriam is now actively engaged and, with the ongoing support of her team, is courageously working through the difficulties she faces in her life.
I am beyond happy to have amazing clients that make partnering with organizations such as Olive Crest possible!
